WHAT TIME IS IT?

In the ICU it is constantly kept at low lighting and the waiting room is the same. Heading out into the sunshine at the end of the day is always a bit of a shock.

It is hard to leave the hospital because you always feel a little guilty leaving your baby girl all by herself. But the staff in the ICU are amazing. They are so dedicated to what they do and to taking care of Lauren and all of the other little ones in there, that we know that she couldn't be in better hands. During her awake times she charms them all with her big blue eyes and quiet stare. Just wait until she starts smiling again!

While Matt and I are away from the hospital, we look at pictures that we have in our car, around the places we are staying, and in our bags. This one is one of our personal favourites because Lauren has such joy in her eyes.

Looking at pictures like this and knowing that she will be smiling at us again lets us get our rest at night.

Thank you for all of your prayer and support. Thank you for your kind words and messages. Thank you for the time that you are spending with Lauren and thinking of her. We are so blessed to have all of you.

  1. That is such a great picture of her! I love spending time with her in her, it gives me such joy just to see her eyes open looking back at me. Love seeing new posts (its almost a little obscene how many times I hit refresh everyday....)
