Tonight Lauren has had a rough night. Sitting beside her now at 4:52am I am glad to see that she has finally dozed off clinging to her Auntie Elysha's hand.The breathing tube that Lauren has had in since she first crashed in the emergency room last Tuesday has caused her to have fluid building up in her lungs. Praise the Lord that it is clear and does not appear to be infected, but it is quite uncomfortable for the little one and it has kept her up much of the night coughing under her tubes.
During morning rounds they will be determining when they will try to close up her chest and we are praying so hard that they are able to close up both her sternum and the skin on top. If that happens they will be able to have her in an inclined position pretty soon which will make a huge difference in terms of being able to clear out her lungs.
Please pray with us for a successful surgery and more progress towards healing.
If it makes you feel better, she slept like a champ from 11-1:45. Just before you got there she started having trouble. Praying hard that today is the day they close her up!
