Lauren turned 11 months old on the 11th of January. This is the last monthly birthday before the big 1! In a way this year has flown by because I can still remember her as a little 5 pound baby blob but this year has also taken a lifetime. It is a year that I would not change for the world because this is Lauren's story but many days have been long and hard.
Lauren is now over 17 pounds, she loves standing, being walked around, eating her Ralph's grocery store loyalty card (an old card from Elysha's American wallet that she sanitized like a freak first), reading Olivia, and hugging. She lights up our lives and has changed us in ways that we never expected.

Happy 11 months Lauren!!! I'm sad for all you've been through, yet I'm glad that I got to meet you and your Mom and Dad through this blog. I've learned so much about courage and perseverance. I've been so uplifted by how God's worked miracle after miracle in your life. I'm praying that God continues to heal and that you grow up to be strong, healthy and happy!
